Roasted Chile Rellenos with Black Beans, Corn & Cilantro Lime Rice

Like all our recipes, this is GF & Vegan Adaptable.  This dish is Vegetarian but we also give you the option to add, Chicken, Chorizo, or Shrimp. 

For 2021 you will be seeing a lot more Vegetarian options that we can easily add Chicken, Beef or Shrimp too for those that are non-Vegetarian.

For this entree we roast and peel the poblano peppers then stuff them with Black Beans, Corn and Cheese (plus meat option if you choose) and bake them again until the cheese is melted.  Served with Homemade Salsa, Sour Cream and a Cilantro Lime Rice.

  • Heating Instructions

    BASIC HEATING INSTRUCTIONS – HOT WATER METHOD

    1.  BRING APPROXIMATELY 4 QTS OF WATER TO A BOIL…then turn to Simmer.
    2.  Place Each Food Bag Directly in Boiling Water for Approximately 5-10 Minutes (until hot) 165 degrees Fahrenheit…If food is coming directly from refrigerator it will take the full 10 minutes.
    3. Remove Bags from Boiling Water When Hot. 
    4. Using Scissor’s or a Sharp Knife Hold Food Bag Upright and Cut Across Top by the Sealed Seam.
    5. Empty Contents onto a Plate…throw bags away and Enjoy!     No Mess! No Clean Up! It’s That Easy!
    6. IF ENTRÉE COMES WITH GARLIC BREAD / BREADSFOR BEST RESULTS…Place Garlic Bread / Breads in a Hot Saute Pan and Heat on Both Sides until Warm and Slightly Toasted - or Golden Brown...OR...Place in an Oven at 350 degrees Farenheit for Approximately 5 minutes (Depending upon Oven - Until Golden Brown.

    BASIC HEATING INSTRUCTIONS - MICROWAVE OVEN

    1. Remove Bags from Refrigerator. Cut or Pierce a Hole in the Top by the Sealed Seam.
    2. Place in the Microwave Oven. Depending upon your Microwave, I would start with 2 minutes per Entrée with Starch and Vegetable.
    3. When HOT…165 degrees Fahrenheit…carefully remove bags from the Microwave keeping the Sealed Seam at the TOP facing UP.
    4. Using Scissor’s or a Sharp Knife Hold Food Bag Upright and Cut Across Top by the Sealed Seam.
    5. Empty Contents onto a Plate…throw bags away and Enjoy! No Mess! No Clean Up! It’s That Easy!

    When Heating Multiple Items, it is usually easier to use the Hot Water Method because you can easily fit more items in the hot water at once.  If needed use a larger pot.

    Some guests like to heat some items in the Oven or in a Sauté Pan…especially if they want a Crispy Outside.  For example, Our Crab Cakes…. Like all Food Items…are Completely Cooked and Ready to Heat n Eat!  However, some guests like to heat them in a Hot Sauté Pan to get them a little crispy on the outside. This takes about 3 minutes in a hot Sauté Pan or 5 minutes in the Hot Oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

    The Best thing about Heating with the HOT WATER METHOD is your food will never over cook!  This is great for retaining 100% of the Moisture and Natural Juices.  This is very similar to Sous Vide Cooking except we have already cooked it for you…so all you have to do is just HEAT n EAT!
